My journey as a Mum started in 2004 with my eldest - I loved it so much that I've kept having babies!
I believe that the reason women stop breastfeeding is due to a lack of knowledge and professional support.
But every family should have the breastfeeding journey that THEY want, was support and education.

I am a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Karate, and taught in after school clubs for many years
I own a craft business and a building firm
I am forever a student, always wanting to learn new things
I started my breastfeeding journey with my first child back in 2004. Back then it was standard advice to feed 4-hourly, wean to baby rice at 4 months, give extra-hungry baby formula at night.
My second child was breastfed for just 3 weeks, as I had no knowledge of growth spurts.
By baby number six I finally felt I was getting it right. We co-slept, and breastfed, with me stopping feeding her myself at thirteen months.
I now breastfeed my youngest child, and we are past the two and a half years point. I never expected to get here, and I am SO proud that we have. The benefits to us both have been huge, and she has an amazing secure attachment.
I always say "I wish I knew back then what I know now", and that is what drives me to help other families.
I'm not saying that every family I help will want to breastfeed their child to toddler age, but I help people to get to that point if they wish to, knowing that those early days, plus baby's growth spurts, are so important.
